Edison Chen was a rising star in the Eastern Hemisphere, with an influential Chinese and Taiwan street fashion line and a red-hot singing and acting career. However, a highly publicized sex-scandal turned public opinion against him in 2008, and his career hit the skids on many fronts.

He retreated from the local limelight and has focused on mounting a comeback that has been centered around his fashion lines. His clothing company CLOT Inc. has remained profitable and his fashion outlet JUICE is still influential in the local fashion scene. This year Chen and his partners will open a new JUICE outlet in Beijing along with a CLOT/Disney partnership project in Taiwan. His company has been one of the more successful proponents of street fashion in the Chinese market, and he sees continued growth there but less so in the rest of the world, as street fashion retailers in America and Japan are still hurting after the recession.
