Godfrey Gao of Vacouver is known to his friends as G, and he will soon become a household name in fashion circles worldwide after being chosen as the first Asian model for the Louis Vuitton brand. In the new ad campaign for the spring/summer 2011 collection, Gao appears lightly stubbled and clutching a messenger bag. His striking good looks have led some to label him as the first Asian supermodel.

The Guardian newspaper made took special note of his "strong jawline" and "manly forearm", though they are certainly not the first to spotlight the 26 year old, 6'4" Vancouver native. Long before the Vuitton campaign, he was already a star in Taiwan, where he is a well-known actor in TV shows and movies and already a mens fashion icon.
