American women are savvy shoppers, excelling at bargain clothes shopping, according to a new national poll. Over three quarters of women consider themselves to be great at bargain clothes shopping, with 10% admitting they like the challenge of finding the best deal. Two thirds of women typically wait for a sale to purchase items.

"I'm such a sucker for bargain clothes shopping, especially when I have a coupon or there's a sale for 50% off," said Lisa Freeman, editor-in-chief of ShopSmart.

Although money is the main motivation, with 40% saying they go bargain clothes shopping because they are on a limited budget and 25% indicating that they hate to overspend, it is not the only reason women go bargain clothes shopping. In addition, 83% of women say that if money were no object, they would still seek out a deal.

With mens fashion picking up in Mumbai (India), the city is turning into a promising market for several international labels. Recently, Etro debuted on the runway of the three days Chivas Studio in Mumbai with its mens fashion collection.

Etro brings its hippie chic, nature-inspired bold patterns of mens fashion wear to the city through its Spring/Summer 2011 mens fashion collection. It includes flamboyant colors and kaleidoscopic patterns paired with classic tailoring. Etro also pays homage to nature through its eco-friendly 'tree of life' theme with a paisley motif almost becoming a symbol for the mens fashion brand. Suits designed by Kean Etro incorporating strident, multihued fabric in the lining under the collar, cuff and- peeking through the lapels of the suit are also becoming 'en vogue.'

Wang Yu-Ching, a professor at Fujen Catholic University in China says that clothing is a symbol of thought, a way for a people to express and reinforce their group identity. Men's fashion wear in Taiwan and elsewhere in Asia has become completely attached to Western clothing styles, and lacks that sense of cultural identity to which Yu-Ching referred.

For example, two years ago during a presidential election in Taiwan, when candidates went to the countryside to campaign they wanted to appear more "close to the people" by abandoning their severe Western suits. But they couldn't find anything of a local color that would be more suitable. Today when high-ranking Chinese officials attend important events at home or abroad, men wear Western suits and ties, but their wives wear updated traditional Chinese dresses, or qipaos. People are so used to seeing this mix of East and West, traditional and modern, that most do not stop to question it or think it's strange.
